Hamas leader heads to Cairo for Gaza talks ahead of Kushner visit

Hamas chief Khalil al-Hayya is set to meet Egyptian intelligence chief Hassan Rashad in Cairo amid ongoing Gaza tensions. The talks come as international mediators push for a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. The visit follows a series of diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation in the Gaza Strip, which has seen renewed violence in recent weeks. Egyptian officials have been working tirelessly to broker a deal that would bring an end to the hostilities and address humanitarian concerns in the region. The talks are expected to focus on the release of hostages and the establishment of a sustainable ceasefire framework.
